Post six

Violence on television: When I was a child I have always seen a lot of television and all kinds of programs, from infieles to telemonitos; So I consumed all the different programs that the television brings to the audience and how it is inferred, I saw a lot of violence on television, but even so, I did not become an obsessed adult with violence, and in general, all my friends who passed for that reason, they did not become sadistic people either, which is why I think it does not matter that they broadcast violence on television.
Cloning: I believe that cloning is a source of many future investigations, so the human being should investigate more on this subject, imagine in the future to be able to send a clone of oneself to do the duties of the home
Immigration: Where I live there are many immigrants living, Haitians, Colombians, Peruvians, Venezuelans, and under my experience they are very friendly, even more respectful than Chileans, also that coming to Chile creates a mixture of cultures and thus enrich our country, for that and other reasons I am totally in favor of immigration
Having pets at home: Having pets is the best thing that can happen to a young person, the propriety of a pet teaches responsibility, and it has been demonstrated that having an animal nearby when one feels stressed or sad it helps to mitigate these negative emotions.

post IV: My future job

As a child I always think about the future of my life, I wanted a job which make a lot of money and being the boss of a company to do whatever I want. When a grew up I prefer an easy profession, that I don’t have to work a lot and don´t take a lot of responsibilities. Now my expectation of my future job has change a little, I want to work in something that bring me some challenges and problems to solve to the community.
When I get graduate of my actual career I want to work in something associated with the natural resources and natural parks, but for doing this I have to go to the south of Chile, because all the natural parks or natural reserves are situated in the south, and this is the area which have the most of the environmental problems in the country. I want to work specifically with the issues related with the lack of environmental education to the rural communities, and I think, they are the ones who should most have access to this kind of education, because they are the ones who live there, next to the woods, then they are important actors in the use of forest resources and the care of these.

Post 3 : My profession

When a was in the school, none career seemed very interesting to me, none of them can attract my attention. But one day 1 week before to take the PSU an university fair went to my school, so I decided to attend to the fair, because in these fairs the monitors give free pens and free candies, the lemon candies are my favorite. So in that fair I approached to a stand without any candy or souvenirs, but the name, brochures and images caught my attention.
The girl in that stand show me the curriculum of the career, their subjects and classes. She told to me that in this career the students go out in a lots of field trips along all the country. Also explain to me that in her career the professors teach to the students how to understand the physical and natural phenomenon that happen in the environments, how to make a sustainable use of their recourses and how take care of species in extinction hazard.
All the things that this girl told to me helped to make the decision of what profession I would like to do for the rest of my life.

Post 2: The best holiday I've ever had

All my life I have traveled a lot. When I was a scout I traveled to many summer camps and now that I study forestry engineering I also travel a lot in the summers.
One of my favorite holidays was when I was 16 years old and with my scout group we traveled to the south oh Chile and to Argentina.
First we traveled to Osorno and stayed 7 days at a friend's farm, there we visited the city center, the rivers and forests that were close to the farm.
Then we went to Bariloche, an Argentine town that is not far from Chile, there we stayed in a camp that was 15 minutes walking from the town center. Bariloche is particularly a tourist zone, so there were many shops to visit, and especially many chocolatiers, because the quality of chocolate in that zone is very good.
In Bariloche we stayed 3 days, to then return to Santiago. In total it was a 2 weeks trip, in which I had a lot of fun and I got to know many new places.

A country I'd like to visit (Post 1)

I’ve always, since I was a child, want to travel to different countries and know different cultures and kind of people. But the first country that I’d like to visit is Japan; I have always believed that the people and culture there are very different from here in Chile. The idea of living in a community there is very rooted in society; everyone tries to be respectful among them, to help each other for the development of society and not to harm people and their property.
Apart from its civic culture, its cuisine has many flavors that are not usually found here; one of the types of food that they have there that I like a lot is their varied seafood.
I also like the contrast they have in their cities and towns, on the one hand, there are their cities with a lot of movement of people, full of places with technological attractions, and on the other hand they have their villages with a lot of folklore, which can be imprisoned in temples and palaces.
Undoubtedly, Japan is in the first position in my list of countries that I would like to visit.

Native Fauna of Chile (post 9)

Chile is well known for his variety in flora and fauna, but today I’m going to talk about the different kind of animals that make up the native fauna of Chile. In the north we have an extreme kind of climate, but that it’s not an obstacle to the formation of native fauna, we have Big animals like Llamas, Vicuñas and Guanacos, also little animals like the Chinchilla and Vizcacha a little kind of rabbit. In the center of the country the variety of animals it’s higher with different species of “big cats” as the Colocolo, the Guiña and the puma; also we can find a characteristic fox of the center zone of Chile, the Zorro Culpeo. When we get closer to the south we can see that the variety of native fauna increases with a lot kind of animals like rodents as the Coipo or the Degu; also we have some species like the Pudú and the Huemul. Other important family of native fauna of Chile’re the Marsupials, composed with only 4 especies, wich are threatened: The “Llaca”, the “Comadrejita de vientre blanco” , the “Monito del monte” and the “Comadrejita trompuda”.Resultado de imagen para monito del monte

The Chilean Palm (post 8)

My favorite Chilean tree is the Chilean Palm; his scientific name is Jubaea chilensi. This tree, it is not a real tree, it is a palm tree, that mean the jubaea chilensis doesn’t have a real log with hardwood, the Chilean palm have a stipites, which is a stem made with the remains of the deciduous leaves base of the palm.
The Chilean palm is native to southwestern South America, where it is endemic to a small area of central Chile, corresponding to the Region of Coquimbo, Region of Valparaiso, where it is most abundant, Metropolitan Region of Santiago, Region of O'Higgins and in the province of Curicó.

Unfortunately this specie is danger of extinction; this is because the high demand of products that the Chilean palm provides for example the leaves can be used to sweep the streets and parks, his fruits usually called “coquitos” are a gourmet treat for some people, even the sap of the palm its commercials as “miel de palma”. That reasons are why this Endemic plant of Chile it’s so vulnerable and why we have to take care of it.
